Eli Lamar Whiteley was the son of Eli Whiteley and Ruth Hunt. Born on 10 Dec 1913 at the family farm near Liberty Hill, Williamson County, Texas, USA. Graduated from Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas (later Texas A&M University) in 1941. Joined the U.S. Army. Earned the Medal of Honor for his actions on 27 Dec 1944 near Sigolsheim, France.
