The Medal of Honor Monument
Austin, Travis County, Texas

Dedicated 31 May 1999, the Medal of Honor Monument is a 13-foot tall obelisk made of red granite from Marble Falls, Texas. It is located in the Texas State Cemetery. To the left, in the distance, is Confederate Field. To the right, beyond the Medal of Honor Monument are four Medal of Honor Recipients' grave markers, Robert Edward Galer, James Marion Logan, Jack Lummus and George H. O'Brien, Jr.
