HEADQUARTERS Training Wing (ATC)
United States Air Force
Williams Air Force Base, Arizona

2 JAN 1964

Mr. James M. Jordan 337 Waverly Corpus Christi, Texas

Dear Mr. Jordan

Please accept my most sincere apologies for the extremely long delay with regard to the dedication ceremony for "Hughes Hall" (Building S-43, 3526th Pilot Training Squadron).

Shortly after our last correspondence with you, and before we had an opportunity to complete our arrangements, we were informed that our base would be undergoing a reorganization in the near future to increase the scope of our training program and enable us to handle an increased student load.

Now, after all these many months, this reorganization has been accomplished and we would very much like to go ahead with our plans.

We have scheduled the ceremony for 5 February 1964 and extend to you a most cordial invitation to attend the dedication. This date has been selected to coincide with the graduation exercises of Class 64-E. Captain Eddie Rickenbacker has been invited to be our guest speaker for the occasions.

Please advise me if you will be able to attend the dedication.

Sincerely

(signed) WM. C. LINDLEY, JR. Colonel, USAF Commander
