Reburial services for 2nd Lt. Lloyd H. (Pete) Hughes, who was killed in action in 1943 while taking part in an air raid on Ploesti, Rumania, are planned for 2 p. m. April 12 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio.

Hughes, whose mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Jordan, live at 1113 Sixth was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor posthumously.

He was a graduate of Refugio High School in 1939 and attended Del mar and Texas A&M Colleges. He was the first A&M student to be posthumously awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor.

He received numerous awards for participation in air raids over the Continent and Sicily.

Surviving besides the parents, are four brothers, Jimmie, John, Bill and Paul Jordan, and his grandmother, Mrs. S. M. Rainey, all of Corpus Christi.
