Gunter Hotel Ruling Stands - The judgment of the San Antonio Court of Civil Appeals in a long-standing legal
dispute over ownership of stock in the Gunter Hotel corp. was left standing Wednesday
by the State Supreme court.
A trial court had instructed a verdict for
Earl M. Baker, president of the hotel
corporation, who had been sued by Myla Baker for recovery of two-thirds of the stock
of the corporation, with an accounting or damages.
The appeals court affirmed the trial court's findings, and the Supreme court
refused Myla Baker's application for review with a notation it could find no reversible
error.
This was the second series trial and appeals in the case.
