H. Clarke HOBBS' New Gresham English Dictionary

On March 16, 2003 in central Texas, found a book entitled The New Gresham English Dictionary. Not terribly exciting except that it appears to be signed by its one time owner.

I may be wrong, but I interpret this to be H. Clarke Hobbs 4/3/25.
 

The title on the spine is THE NEW GRESHAM ENGLISH DICTIONARY. On the inside, it is The New GRESHAM DICTIONARY of the English Language by Charles Annandale M.A. LL.D. (blah blah) THE GRESHAM PUBLISHING COMPANY LTD. 66 Chandos Street, Covent Garden, London 1925.
 

It is more than two and a half inches thick and some nine and a quarter inches tall.
 

The marbling on the edges is gray and pink.
 

While the book has been scuffed, it does not appeared to be used, i.e., the binding is not broken. It was a brand new dictionary "Printed in Great Britain" in 1925 and ended up in Texas more than 75 years later. If any Hobbs descendant has a interest in this book, please contact me.
