Relatives - Other NotesOver 50 years ago, two children posed on a pony for a photograph. It is very strange to see a photo of that same pony posing with different children. My Daughters of the Republic of Texas (DRT) Application Census Records for my JORDAN Ancestors. Spouse's Mother, Bonnarea Janell "Bonnie" FUQUA Phillips and her Bible. Spouse's Father, Henry Loyd PHILLIPS - photos at Camp Hulen. My Uncle Pete, 2nd Lt. Lloyd Herbert HUGHES, a B-24 pilot in World War II who was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions on 1 Aug 1943 in Operation Tidal Wave. My Grandmother, Lois Erin DEASON Key, and her scrapbook called, "Happy School Days" that she created in 1920, the year she graduated from Amarillo High School in Amarillo, Texas, USA. My Grandmother, Lois Erin DEASON Key, and the infamous pajama photos. Why would a proper young lady circa 1920 pose in her pajamas and be photographed? Too bad we did not thing to ask her. Just WHAT was she was thinking? My Great Grandmother, Lucy Ethel WHITAKER Jordan Hansard, notes and research. My Great Grand Uncle, Willie Aubrey CLOWER, and a letter dated 24 Aug 1908 telling how he was shanghaied. My Great Grand Parents, Walter Henry DEASON and Mary Lizzie HARDY Deason, and their Marriage License, documenting that their marriage was performed on 25 Jun 1900. My 2nd Great Grandmother, Marina Harriet ROSS Deason and her affidavit dated 19 Apr 1940 stating that Walter Henry Deason married Lizzie Hardy on 24 Jun 1900. So, an 82 year-old woman can not remember her first born son's wedding date some 40 years after the fact? Probably so. My 2nd Great Grandparents, William Henry JORDAN and Elizabeth PATE Jordan, are buried in the Bodan Cemetery near Pollok, Angelina County, Texas. My 2nd Great Grandmother, Elizabeth PATE Jordan and her Widow's Application for a Pension.
