This web site is a labor of love since one set of my great great grandparents are buried here: William Henry JORDAN and Elizabeth PATE Jordan as is one of my great grandfathers, James Marion JORDAN.

In May 2007, I managed to find a second cousin once removed who lived in Lufkin which is about 15 miles from Bodan Cemetery. My cousin graciously invited me to come to meet her and her family and to attend the Bodan Cemetery Reunion on Sunday, 27 May 2007. More than forty people showed up with food and drinks. We visited, had a business meeting, then we ate and visited some more. It is very interesting to meet so many of my "long lost cousins."

If you have information (corrections, photos, family history, etc.) you would like to contribute to this web site, please contact me. Include as much information as you can so I can look up and add information from census records and other vital statistic records.

If I have inadvertently included private information on anyone living and you wish to have it removed, please contact me. I will remove it promptly. Don't forget to ask nicely!

There are two other web pages with Bodan Cemetery information, this one on USGenNet and this one on Cemeteries of Texas. Both of these web pages have the same contributors, "Pamela Ramirez, Doris Hankins, and Tiffany and Brittany Smith." I have tried to make contract to the contributors, but so far, their emails have been returned or there has been no response. In any case, the web pages have some contradictions, some obvious errors, and no photos. In a perfect world, these pages would be corrected, but as it is, web pages get old and people move on.
